I'm not sure whether to be excited or worried, to be quite honest.

yeah, saw this when it was first announced and seeing that it's only going to be 70 minutes, it doesn't seem to me that it will be too good. Or probably won't have a whole lot of depth to it.

Dan Abnett wrote the script so maybe it won't be as bad as I originally thought.

That's one small comfort, at least.

Just in case people haven't checked in a while, they have quite a bit of concept art being put up in the "Blog" section of the website, as well as interviews with the folk working on the movie -- among them being Dan Abnett, who is putting his enormous talent to work on the script. The more I see, the more I drift from "concerned" to "excited", but I can't really judge until I see a trailer at the very least.

Only 70 minutes? Oh dear.... I think I'll be giving this film a miss. Doesn't seem to be worth the money! (( Ignoring the fact that I happen to hate the ultramarines.... ))

Personally, I'd say an hour's worth of high-quality, WH40k CG movie is well worth my money. And even if it ended up being mediocre at best, I'd still buy it -- because if it doesn't sell well, what are the chances GW is going to fund another movie in the future?

I prefer quality over quantity so if the movie would only be 30 minutes but in great quality story+presentation that's fine with me.

Anyway seems this movie is at very early stages so we have to wait 1 year or more I guess. Anyone has seen a approximate release date yet? My quick search didn't showed a result... however I haven't checked all resources available.

Hmm, point taken. I'm still skeptical though... Visual quality is one thing but what about plot/storyline? Either way I've had a change of heart and I've decided that I'll go and see it! What kind of Warhammer enthusiast would I be if I don't even see the film? Shame on me!

Don't worry, Kaiser -- Dan Abnett is writing the script, and he's one of the best damn writers in WH40k fiction there is. I have faith that it'll be entertaining and engaging. And MD, I don't think they've given a release window yet; about a year is my guess, as well. I check the site every week or two to see if they've got new concept art or staff blogs up. Hopefully, they'll keep these updates fairly consistent, so we'll have something to tide us over while we wait for the movie to drop.
